txtit2me - Users - FAQ

Is this the same as browsing from your phone

No. Browsing the internet from your phone uses different technology, is often difficult to use and can be costly. txtit2me is a simple to use method of transferring information you find while browsing the internet on your computer to your mobile via SMS and costs only 55c per message

How much does it cost to set up

There are no charges from us but you may be charged for a standard SMS by your phone company depending on your plan. For more details see Getting Started

Is there a subscription cost

No. If you don't use the service you will not be charged anything. For more details see Getting Started

Will you be sending me a statement

No. All charges will appear on your regular phone bill. If you want to check up on your usage you can login to our Customer Self Care facility. For more details see Getting Started

How long does it take for messages to get to me

We use a high quality Australian gateway so messages will generally get to you very quickly (around 10 - 20 secs). Sometimes there is congestion in the networks which may delay things a little.

What if I want to change my password

The process for change of password is the same as the initial setup. Simply send your new password to our activation number 0427 767 968. If you prefer, you can use our Self Care facility

Can I cancel my passport

Sure. There are three choices. You can send the word STOP to our activation number 0427 767 968 which will disable your passport. You can login to our Self Care facility and either disable or lock your passport. You can call our customer support line on 1300 725 243 and we will do it for you.

What is the difference between disabling and locking a passport

If you disable your passport, you won't be able to use it to send messages but you can still login to our Self Care facility to check your details. A disabled passport can be re-activated either by sending a new password to the activation number or via the Self Care. If a passport is locked, you will not be able to login to the Self Care facility and sending a new password will not re-activate the passport. To re-activate a locked passport you will need to speak to customer service on 1300 725 243
